The vitals:
7:00 ~ Doors
7:30 ~ HARDBALL
I'm sure if Keanu Reeves' character in Hardball could slow down time, he would probably make for a better gambler but he can't so he's just a degenerate gambler. Hardball is a story of redemption, friendship, and teaching the youth of America how to play baseball. Before Brian Robbins was the short-term CEO of Paramount, before he directed Norbit and Meet Dave, he introduced us to G Baby, a wise talking child who can't get any play on the little league team because he's so much younger than the other kids. If you've seen the film you know how G Baby's life goes but to this day it is still one of the most shocking things I've seen on screen to this day. In all seriousness, this movie is great and Keanu is giving a fantastic performance with these kids that are also kinda acting their assses off for their age and a young Michael B. Jordan also shows up in this heartbreaking and uplifting tale about redemption and what that looks like.
