The vitals:
7:00 ~ Doors
7:30 ~ BIG TEXAS LITTLE FILM TOUR
Presented by Kaytie Nielsen & Iris Beaumier

The Big Texas Little Film Tour is a traveling showcase featuring the best & brightest work from emerging Lone Star State filmmakers. With an 80-minute block of stellar short films, we visit rodeos, county fairs, historic theaters, and unconventional venues to make sure our state’s film community is as big and broad as Texas.

After the screenings, we’ll have a talkback with the filmmakers where we discuss all things homegrown moviemaking. Can’t wait to see y’all there!

Films:

Loretta directed by Maryan Nagy Captan

Ballelujah directed by Ori Matisse Evans

Esther directed by Joey Hunt

Firewall directed by Bita Ghassemi

shut the fuck up, when WE speak directed  by Ryan Darbonne

Help! directed by Alex Chew

Tito Ritmo directed by Ulises Córdova

In the words of Tony Nielsen (Kaytie’s dad & 5th generation Texan), “A few of these [films] are a little wacko and Texans love crazy ass shit”. We’d like to call this year’s Big Texas program, The Big Swings block.
