As part of our coverage of Houston Cinema Arts Festival 2024, Hyperreal Film Journal viewed a work-in-progress screening of Connor Sen Warnick’s feature debut, Characters Disappearing. Currently in post-production, the film is pending its final cut. Inspired by his experiences with Asian-targeted hate, Warnick wanted to tell a story about the past in order to speak to the present.
