Friday 7/26 

This week a certain Marvel movie is taking up most of the screens. But here are the few movies that made it through.

They keep passing this movie around.

Last week it was at Cinemark. 

Someone should play the sequel.

Would we have Blondie and Dagwood 3 this weekend.

It was very popular with my family.

Nicolas Roeg movie about Bowie as an alien. 

And I’m loving it.

UK’s first Black feature-length drama. 

Has a cool theme song 

Monday 7/29

Migration | Cinemark | AMC 

Repertory screening that’s nostalgic for 2023. 

Blood Simple. | Alamo Drafthouse 

Coen Bro’s first movie and it was right here in Austin. 

Mystery Transmission 014 | Alamo Drafthouse 

It’s a Horror Home movie made for $500. 

Tuesday 7/30 

Trolls | Flix Brewhouse

The first Trolls movie is back. 

A pink troll holds a guitar and sings, surrounded by singing, colorful flowers and bugs.

Kung Fu Panda 3 | Regal 

Starring political firebrand Jack Black. 

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile | Regal 

This movie looks awful but who knows. 

It’ll also be playing next week at Galaxy.

Second part of the Miniseries. 

One Missed Call (2003) | Alamo Drafthouse 

Part of the Terror Tuesday series. 

Takashi Miike’s cursed cell phone movie.

This time it’s World Animation and it all looks cool. 

Wednesday 7/31

Beverly Hills Cop | Alamo Drafthouse

I watched all of these recently and this is the best one. 

Dirty Harry | Blue Starlite Central 

If I had to have some kind of interaction with a cop I’d rather it be Axel Foley than this guy. 

Barb Wire | Alamo Drafthouse 

Pamela Anderson of Baywatch fame stars in this comic book movie. 

Thursday 8/1

Pulp Fiction | Paramount Theatre

John Travolta’s comeback.

Blazing Saddles | Blue Starlite Central 

Western comedy about racism.
