Growing up is hard and women do a lot for the world. Imagine growing up and having to fight for your life for caring about Talking Heads vs Black Flag and for some reason that determining your sexual identity amongst your male peers. Guys are dumb, women have it all figured out. An ode to single mothers, liberated women, and nod to the guys who “have it figured out,” Mike Mills’ 20th Century Women is a masterpiece in slice of life cinema that reminds us all behind the making of every good man was a woman trying to make him not like every crappy man that crossed her path.
