Sally and Gilly are two sisters who handle being witches very differently. Sally hides who she is, opting out of the chaos of magic, while Gilly succumbs to the pleasures of life. But when Gilly gets into trouble, Sally realizes she may have to come into her full power in order to keep her family safe.

Practical Magic is the classic case of a film that was misunderstood by critics when it came out and then quickly rose to cult status once audiences got their eyes on it. The cast’s chemistry and script’s endless quotability make this flick a common rewatch as the weather starts to cool and the cauldrons start to bubble.
