This movie blew me away. As someone who's seen a lot of movies, it can feel hard to find something that feels fresh without being forced but Julio Torres managed to do it for me. From the tender character of Alejandro (the backpack! the walk! that little lock of hair!) to anxiety in human form played by Tilda Swinton (the phone light! the walnuts!), this film manages to stress me out and soothe me at the same time. Emotionally intelligent, surreal, and funny all while waging war against the systems that oppress us. Endlessly grateful to be alive at the same time as this exciting voice.
