What’s scarier than the suburbs? John Waters gives us a maliciously funny, full camp send-up of white picket fences and upper-middle-class lifestyles in Serial Mom. You can’t help but root for Kathleen Turner’s psychotic housewife, who spends her mornings baking pies and her afternoons taking out her perceived opps with increasing violence. Add in a baby-faced Matthew Lillard, John Waters as Ted Bundy(‘s voice), and a deliciously ‘90s L7 cameo and you’ve got one perfect movie.
