7:30 ~ SPACE JAM: A NEW LEGACY
Hot take: the original Space Jam was never a “good” movie, not that it matters. It was all your favorite cartoon characters of the time teamed up with the greatest basketball player ever and it worked and had songs by a bad bad man who made very good music. So fast forward like twenty years, and why wouldn’t they try to do it again with those same characters and a basketball player who is now being heralded as the best player next to the last best player of all time. Well they did that, and this time, for some reason beyond my understanding, it didn’t work which is a shame.
Space Jam: A New Legacy is a good movie about wanting to play video games when your basketball superstar dad, Lebron James, wants you to do something real with your life, like becoming basketball superstar Lebron James. The movie rules and didn’t get a fair shake because everyone was mad it wasn’t the last one, but I really think you should reconsider. If anything come for Don Cheadle as Al-G Rhythm, an algorithm inside the Warner Bros computer orchestrating a whole lot.
