Making things with your friends doesn’t have to be some insane production especially when you’re in high school and still figuring it out. It’s A Summer Film finds a great balance between being fun and understanding that one person who takes the fun out of it by being a bit too serious but everyone loves them for that still. Small hints of Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken but just enough to wonder when this was made in comparison to the series coming out because in a way this is kind of the perfect live action of that manga despite there being a fully produced live action adaptation of that manga already in existence. A light breezy romp made to remind audiences that creativity has no bounds when you have good friends to work with.
