Masaaki Yuasa is probably one of the most interesting people working in animation right now with each project serving as a unique calling card for the direction and his studio Science Saru and The Night is Short, Walk on Gurl is no exception. Based in the universe of The Tatami Galaxy, this film follows a woman as she whimsically stumbles her way through the streets of Kyoto. A gorgeous looking movie that serves as an ode to those nights you’ll never forget.
