A movie tied with a deep history of the music that inspired so many sounds and artists of the modern day. Beyonce puts on an incredible Etta James, Mos Def brings Chuck Berry’s tour of segregated cities to life and emphasizes why he is the king of Rock n Roll. The whole movie feels like an organic love letter to music and the people who pioneered the industry.
