As children, Lucy, Kit, and Mimi bury a time capsule, making a pact to open it on the night of their high school graduation. Years later, social circles have pulled the friends apart, yet they still meet at midnight to unearth the dreams they’d left as children, and in search of answers as they enter the “real world”. 

Afraid of getting stuck in their sheltered town (and the promise of a contest to win a record deal), the friends go on a cross-country road trip with the help of Mimi’s (hot) friend, Ben, who might’ve killed a guy.
