Suspiria, Dario Argento’s masterpiece, is one of the most terrifyingly beautiful horror films ever made. The ultra-saturated colors, lush textures, and enveloping score are all perfectly excessive. Every shot belongs in the Louvre. Goblin’s unrelenting soundtrack creates a sense of dread and eeriness that you’ll never forget. This isn’t your typical horror film, going for easy scares (though there is plenty of gore), instead it jolts you throughout and then lingers for years afterwards. A must see, particularly on a big screen!
