In found-footage maestro Koji Shiraishi's 2010s short film series Senritsu Kaiki File Kowasugi, main character Director Jin Kudo yells at his cameraman to get the fucking shot and stop being such a bitch then squares up with whatever supernatural nasty he’s chasing after that day.

Japanese genre cinema’s best-kept secret Shigeo Osako, Chika Kuboyama, and Shiraishi himself make up the principal trio for this series and they play off each other in spectacular fashion. Osako brings a hilariously abrasive energy that Kuboyama matches with ease, either immediately clashing with him or shrugging her shoulders as her maniac boss charges headlong on his paper-stacking quest into the world of paranormal investigations. Shiraishi acts as the audience surrogate from behind the camera, putting himself directly into the series without ever feeling self-indulgent.
