We open on “Bad City,” an Iranian ghost town whose vigilante justice is enacted by a nameless vampire in Chuck Taylors with a wicked taste in music. Often marketed as ‘The first Iranian Vampire Western,’ first time, Director Ana Lily Amirpour’s “A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night” manages to feel wholly original and unbelievably cool. With stunning and sharp black and white photography and some absolutely perfect needle drops, this film will spook you before making you fall in love.
