The vitals:
7:00 ~ Doors
7:30 ~ SPLICE
Before Adrian Brodie was Laszlo Toth, he was the guy who wanted to have sex with his weird alien science experiment daughter. Splice is such an interesting movie because it came out and it seemed like the type of thing that if you saw it you could appreciate, but if you didn’t you were still somehow aware of it. It worked its way into the culture of the time like a weird parasite but years later has kind of become forgotten, but at the same time people know what you’re talking about if you mention it. What plays out in the movie is like a directors fear of becoming a weird father, while also worrying that the world would be weird to their child.
